Blue Sands Motel

First time to Santa Barbara and wanted nice hotel, but at reasonable cost.

Would love to learn more about Blue Sands Motel. Have a tentative reservation for Room #6 - a renovated room with 2 queen beds. Are rooms bright with good windows ? Is the quality nice ... or is it a low end, Motel 6 type of feel?

Does this hotel, have a good view of the ocean? Would it face the sunrise or sunset? Which beach is it closest too.

Would really appreciate any information.

Blue Sands Motel

Blue Sands has the look of a motel 6 or such from the outside, but the new rooms are VERY nice, much more so than you would expect. Everything in the rooms are new, including redone bathrooms (shower only I think) and flat screen TV. The rooms are not huge, but windows are on the ocean side and bight and airy. You may have a sliver of a view. It is 1/2 block from East Beach which is a nice beach for hanging out, playing volleball, or having breakfast at the East Beach Grill. It would be a good choice...hope this helps!
