Calif car seat requirements

Hi all, we are planning a trip to Anaheim in July, and have rented a car for a week. Can anyone advise age, height, weight requirements for child car seats? We have two boys 6 and 10.

If we don%26#39;t need to rent one I%26#39;m sure we will find a way to spend the money someplace else.

Current law requires booster seats until 6/60: 6 years of age or 60 lbs. Next year (I believe) it becomes 8/80,

You%26#39;ll be fine without one - but if you feel more comfortable from a safety standpoint having a booster - go to Target and pick one up cheap (cheaper to buy one than rent one)

Just check the booster with your luggage. Cheap boosters at Target run about $15 for the seat only variety.

How big is your 6 year old, and what size car are you renting? SUV%26#39;s have bigger seats and more kids need boosters to be safely buckled in than in smaller sedans (from my experience - we have a Sequoia and an Accord and my older boy still uses a booster in the Sequoia but hasn%26#39;t needed it in the Accord for a while)
