Santa Monica or Playa del Rey?

We will be spending 4 days in October visiting LA and we are looking for a relaxing place to stay. We like B%26amp;B and we are doubting between two ';sister'; inns: Inn at Playa del Rey B%26amp;B and Channel Road Inn B%26amp;B in Santa Monica.

I believe both are lovely so would really appreciate it if anybody could give some advice on Santa Monica vs Playa de Rey?

Santa Monica or Playa del Rey?

There is much more to see and do in Santa Monica than Playa del Rey. Santa Monica also has good public transit service, which means you would not have to rent a car to go to Hollywood, the Getty Center, etc.. However, both options are great if you plan to sit by the pool or go to the beach and do nothing more.

thanks Dandaven, we do mean to do all the ';due'; sightseeing in LA and although we will be renting a car I think we will go for Santa Monica

Deffinatly Santa Monica, it%26#39;s a great little city with a vibrant nightlife. You can walk to various restaurants and also can do some serious people watching
