Need help finding good non-touristy spa in general area.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good spa in the area? I%26#39;m looking for something that offers a wide range of services but isn%26#39;t too ridiculously priced. Any help is appreciated.

Besides the information you get here, I assume you are staying in a hotel in the area. They should be a great resource for advice on spas. Just tell them what you told us.

Just for fun, google the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. It is actually in the Sonoma Valley, in Boyes Springs, but isn%26#39;t all that far from Santa Rosa, 15 miles or so? I don%26#39;t know what they charge, but they are the granddaddy of spas from the 1930%26#39;s The property is built near natural hot mineral springs. The original hotel is Spanish Colonial style and charming.

As you can tell from the fact that Fairmont now owns it, it is very upscale, but their day spa may not be too exhorbitant..

As I remember, someone on this forum has experience with it.....if so she/he will chime in.

Would you have time to go to a unique spa that%26#39;s a little under a half hr. away from Santa Rosa? It%26#39;s called Osmosis (www.osmosis.com) and is loc%26#39;d in one of the tiniest ';towns'; in our county, Freestone. They specialize in Japanese enzyme baths. Altho%26#39; relatively close to Santa Rosa, it%26#39;s light yrs. away from the hustle and bustle of our biggest city. I%26#39;m not really a spa person, but friends of mine have gone to Osmosis for yrs. and they swear by it. They say it%26#39;s leaves them completely relaxed and they feel like they%26#39;ve had a mini-vacation. If you do go to Freestone, also try to stop at the Wishing Well Nursery %26amp; Gardens and at the Wildflower Bakery. People drive from all parts of the county to visit both of these places, they%26#39;re that good!
