Argh.......I%26#39;m using points and have booked the wharf, but I%26#39;m not reading good things.
Second three nights of trip are at Hilton Financial District (Chinatown) so I%26#39;m wondering if the other Marriotts offer more luxurious accomodations.
This is to be a VERY romantic trip even though we%26#39;re using points and have to stay in business class hotels.
Inside deets, please.
Stanford Court vs. JW Marriott vs. Marriott Fishermans Wharf
Stanford Court is in Nob Hill area - so its a romantic part of San Francisco. Its right next door to Top of the Mark for evening drinks and across the street from there is the Fairmont Hotel. So I consider this area a nice ';romantic'; area to go to.! (a bit traditional...not current trendy...but very nice area.!)
Marriott Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf is more a family hotel and close to walk to Fisherman Wharf. I would put that last on your ';romantic'; list Its more a standard Marriott - nothing fancy....and I can%26#39;t think of anything very romantic about it. I%26#39;d change if you can...
JW Marriott works if you get a room high up for the views. (Note: You can also get views at Stanford Court.).
Of the three, I%26#39;d choose Stanford Court.
By the way, the Hilton in Chinatown public areas are pretty nice - good location; and I like how they redecorated. Some of the rooms however can be small.
Have fun on yur trip.

Thank you, I do have time to change it. the only thing I have to do is change the pickup for our Alcatraz/city tour day.
We really do want somewhere a bit more romantic.
