Public Transport from Santa Monica to Warner Bros Studios

Visit www.mta.net. There is a system for just this purpose. It is worth fiddling with it because I%26#39;ve found results can vary.

Total cash fare = $2.25

Trip time is about 1 hour and 22 minutes.

Trip distance is about 13.90 miles.

*Driving cost: is about $7.81 (based on AAA%26#39;s formula at 56.2 cents/mile)

On return you could take a different route and a different tour of the area, this one goes right down the Sunset Strip and into Beverly Hills.

From WB take the 163 in the opposite direction down to its final stop at Hollywood/ Highland. Stop for a while and see the Walk of Fame/ Hollywood Highland Complex. Then walk down Highland or Orchid one long block and take the #2 bus westbound to UCLA. Make sure the bus is marked WESTWOOD or UCLA. Get off on Westwood Blvd near UCLA campus and enjoy a walking tour of the area, lots of dining options here too and you%26#39;ll see two huge old movie theatres where premieres are often held. Last, take a Santa Monica Blue bus back to Santa Monica.

Day pass for bus and Metro is $3 but will go up to $5 in June
