Fly out of Midway and into Oakland via Southwest Airlines. You can then take a shuttle or BART from Oakland Airport to downtown SF.

I agree...Southwest MDW to OAK is the best. Other alternatives we%26#39;ve used are ATA ORD to SFO and keep an eye on United ORD to SFO for possible deals.
