Accomodation close to Disneyland main gates

We are thinking of staying at the Anaheim Fairfield Inn because of the positive reviews we have been reading about. Are there hotels of a similar (or better) standard closer to the entry gates?

I don%26#39;t know yet, because our reservations are later this month, but, we are staying at Park Vue Inn.

Its an easy walk to the park and you don%26#39;t have to pay for parking because you can keep your car in the hotel lot for the day. They also have continental breakfast at the hotel in the mornings before you start your disney day.

Another hotel we stay at frequently is Cortona Inn. You need to drive to the park or catch a shuttle bus though, it%26#39;s about a half a mile from the park entrance on Harbor and Katella

We%26#39;ve stayed at the Park Vue Inn three times and it%26#39;s always been good. Don%26#39;t know the Fairfield Inn, so can%26#39;t compare, but the Park Vue is clean %26amp; comfy, well priced and directly opposite DL; great for strolling %26#39;home%26#39; (5 mins) to put your feet up for an hour or so during those long but wonderful Disneyland days. We wouldn%26#39;t stay anywhere else.

thanks for the thumbs up on the Park Vue , I%26#39;m taking some friends for their first Disney experience, and I want them to have the perfect trip! Sounds like we made a good choice with hotel :)

Someone else posted this link for me earlier...it%26#39;s worth showing again. Walking distance from the hotel to the front gate

Check out the above map. My first trip to DL is next month so I can%26#39;t say for sure that this is accurate, but I%26#39;m assuming so. :)

We were in a lower end hotel in that area (Ramada Maingate) and I saw both the the Fairfield Inn and the Park Vue on my way to DL.

They both looked very nice and were about as close you could get without camping inside DL (which is not allowed as far as I know). They looked much nicer than the Ramada from the outside. The only closer hotel would possiblly be the Grand Californian. I think both of the Disneyland Hotels are actually further from the entrance. I think the difference in cost wasn%26#39;t too much more for those hotels and I will likely stay at one of these hotels next time I go.

We just returned from a week at DL. We stayed in Parlor Suite A at the Desert Inn - 4th floor. It was very quiet and clean plus was a great price. VERY close to the cross walk that leads to the park entrance and like many others have said about the motels in that immediate area, it only took us 5 minutes to walk to the DL entrance gate. Del Sol was next door but was further off the road (behind Denny%26#39;s) and I believe the Ramada was next to that.

Yep, that is the Ramada. Overall it was pretty good for what I paid. Sounds like the Desert Inn is good too. It looked nice from the outside. Couldn%26#39;t really see the Del Sol inn. It is so much better to simply walk to the park than have to deal with driving/shuttles.

Anybody know /ever stay at either Holiday Inn Hotel %26amp; Suites or Park Place Inn %26amp; MiniSuites (owned by Best Western)?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

thank you

Jason
