Buckeye Tree Lodge

Hi from the UK

Looking to stay near Sequoia National Park this summer. Does anyone have any feedback on the Buckeye Tree Lodge.

Many thanks for your help.

Buckeye Tree Lodge

I%26#39;ve been there numerous times over the last fifteen years.

It is a husband and wife owned operation. I recommend a room that%26#39;s in the same building as the office; those rooms have the best view of the river.

They have smoking and non-smoking rooms available.

Make your reservations 3 or more months early; it%26#39;s very popular but not very big with a lot of rooms.

There%26#39;s a fantastic restaurant two doors down that is built on the edge of the river bank. My wife prefers salami, crackers, cheese and wine lounging on chairs on the lawn by the river next to the back door of the motel room. What can I say?

On the map, Three Rivers looks close to the entrance to the NP. However, it%26#39;s a couple of thousand feet up a switchback road. The road is perfectly fine and safe but it%26#39;s slow going.

What else do you want to know?

Thank you very much Danny for all the info. We are now not sure if we will have time to take in Sequoia N.P. - so much to do in so little time, but thank you very much for your input, it is much appreciated.
