walking from S Harbor Blvd to W Ball Rd?

Hi there! We%26#39;re staying on S Harbor Blvd across from the Disneyland entrance (the Desert Inn) and there%26#39;s a restaurant we%26#39;re hoping to visit (Cuban Pete%26#39;s on W Ball Rd). Since we won%26#39;t have a car for our visit, I was wondering if there is any way to walk to the restaurant from where we%26#39;re staying... I know it%26#39;s about a mile, but S Harbor Blvd looks like it gets very ';highway'; when it connects to Rt 5 and I wasn%26#39;t sure if we could actually walk it... Is there an alternate way to get to W Ball Rd (like through the parks?) Any help/advice would be great!!

Go to mapquest.com type in address of where you are staying

and the address of the restaurant see if it gives you any clues.

You may ask the front desk at your hotel as they may be familiar with the area or ask the resturant on the best way to get there.

Just a thought.

You will want to walk up the west side of Harbour to Ball Road.

If you stay on the south side of Ball Road there is a sidewalk you can use. Ball Road goes over the I-5 freeway, so the freeway won%26#39;t be an issue to you at all. Cuban Pete%26#39;s is just past the intersection of Disney Way, between Motel 6 and Best Western Courtesy Inn. It was a very busy place on the weekend we stayed at BW Courtesy, so it is definitely a popular spot.

If I were going to make an estimate, I%26#39;d say it%26#39;s probably more like a mile and a half from DL entrance to Cuban Pete%26#39;s, via the above route. I%26#39;m not sure I%26#39;d want to walk it, certainly not after walking all over DL for 6 or 8 hours.

If you went through DL, you would have to take the parking tram at Downtown Disney to the Mickey and Friends parking structure, then walk all the way through the structure, out into the traffic leaving the parkade and go north on Disney Way to Ball Rd. It would definitely be a shorter walk, but I%26#39;m not sure the parking staff would let you come back in this way (on foot) to go back to your motel and actually I%26#39;m not even sure you could safely walk out of the parkade exits and get off to the side of the road, with all the vehicles coming and going. The road is about 6 lanes wide when you first leave the parkade, and almost all vehicles are trying to get over to the right lane as they leave, so they can turn onto Ball Road and get to Harbour. So this route, while theoretically possible, is probably not a practical solution.

My choice would be a cab, or a bus!
