July 3-6 first timer

Hello to all the helpful people out there! I%26#39;ve become addicted to reading the advice and decided it%26#39;s time to get some of my own.

I%26#39;m travelling out to CA for the first time the week of July 4th. We%26#39;re spending 3 days in Napa and 3 in San Fran to celebrate my and hubby%26#39;s big 3-0 bday.

I%26#39;ve already booked a room at the Beazley House July 4-6. My first question is that we%26#39;re flying in late on the 3rd and want to save a few bucks since we won%26#39;t get in until late. Is there cheap place along the way from SFO to Napa for our first night?

Our current game plan for the wineries...

Day 1

Do the Calistoga area

Sterling

Vincent Arroyo

Frank Family

Bennett

walk around St. Helena

Day 2

Do Silverado Trail and end our day with a tour at Del Dotto

Day 3

Check out Hess and maybe Artessa.

Picnic lunch at Bouchaine before heading to San Fran.

Any clue how much their picnic for 2 is and if it%26#39;s worth it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

July 3-6 first timer

If I were getting into the San Francisco airport late I would just find an inexpensive airport motel or hotel and crash. I am assuming you are picking up a rental car from the airport.

The next day you can be in Napa from the airport location in about an hour and a half.

I don%26#39;t know of any specific inexpensive places near the airport, if you are driving there. We use the Best Western El Rancho in Millbrae when we fly because they have a parking package and we can leave our car there when we are going to be gone for a couple of weeks.

Google them, and if this works for you, you could probably take the shuttle to the motel when you arrive and then take it back to the airport in the morning to pick up your car.
