I am taking my two grandsons (18 and 20) along with my boyfriend to LA in July. Last year we took them to Niagara Falls and found quite a few things to do a night-a magic show and Cirque Niagara. I am looking for something along those lines but not finding anything. Anyone have any ideas.
Night Life-Shows with Teens
Where are you staying? Will you have a car?
Night Life-Shows with TeensA show at the Hollywood Bowl is always fun.
The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa is a great place. The comedy tends to be on the ';clean'; side, so you can avoid any uncomfortableness with blue humor.
Hi neighbor. Don%26#39;t know if this is in your bugdet or workable for you, but if you can stay at the Magic Castle Hotel (in Hollywood), you are allowed to go to the Magic Castle itself, which is normally members only. I%26#39;m not a member, but my brother is, and I%26#39;m telling you that the shows there are unbelievable. Entrance and shows for members if free and I would think the same is for hotel guests. They have 3 stages with different acts all the time. One stage is for ';stage magic';, one for closeup magic, and one is in-between. I don%26#39;t think there is anything like anywhere else in the world. They also have a room where magicians who happen to be passing through sit and do magic for whoever is in the room (sounds like I%26#39;m making this up, but I%26#39;m not)
Just double check that you won%26#39;t have problems getting people under 21 into the club (normally, sunday is kids day). I don%26#39;t think it will be a problem unless they try to order a drink!

Thanks for the information. Actually we are staying in Little Tokoyo. We will have a car so we can get around.
I did look at staying at Magic Castle but it was a little too pricey for us.
If they would like to go out dancing and check out the local girls(which 18 year old boy wouldn%26#39;t), there is a great 18 and over, more upscale danceclub on saturdays at level 3, inside the hollywood/highland complex(on level 3) in Hollywood.
It%26#39;s a save, clean, upscale club, so you could just drop them off and go to one of the nice restaurants in the area and pick them up when you are done having a nice time with your boyfriend
What would appropriate dress be at club?
Dresscode in Los Angeles clubs is pretty casual, jeans is fine with a nice dresshirt for example. No tank tops, sneakers, caps. I always call it california casual, dress comfortable and look good doing so ;-)
If it%26#39;s not too late to change your hotel, consider the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel. They, too, provide access to the Magic Castle Club and the hotel is 1/2 block from Hollywood %26amp; Highland.
Info at: http://hotelcelebrity.com/
There is a trendy bowling alley in the Hollywood %26amp; Highland complex (on the Highland Av side on street level) called Lucky Strike Lanes:

Also, consider strolling around the 3rd Street Promenade (in Santa Monica) in the evening or Universal City Walk (next to Universal Studios).
I had considered Hollywood hotels but for one reason or another it didn%26#39;t work out. Some had only only queen size bedding and lads need their own beds. Some were too expensive.
Universal city walk sounds interesting. I know I walked quickly through Universal city walk in Orlando but was hurrying to the entrance to the parks. can%26#39;t remember if there was a fee to enter city walk other than parking fee.
