Is there any good place to go for an evening of dancing (maybe Salsa or really anything...) in the Napa area (preferably where they also give some lessons at the beginning)?

I would like to know as well!!! Does anyone have any recommendations? We%26#39;ll be visiting in a few weeks and would love to dress up and go out. Thanks!

From my limited experience, Napa is a sleepy town. Most people turn in early. We did find some nightlife in downtown Napa, with a couple of decent bars and people wandering a couple of streets. Maybe some of the resorts have something more to offer.

Napa is a very home-grown, laid-back community. Which is not to say we don%26#39;t have fun-- just that we go over to each other%26#39;s houses, and the kids play with each other while the adults cook up a storm, drink some wine, and kick back. :)
Napa Valley dance spots come and go. Most only last a year or so. The latest spots (DG%26#39;s club, club 1351) are both out of business.
Calistoga has some dancing and entertainment-- check out their TA reviews for which spots are best. UVA tratorria in downtown Napa has acoustic jazz on weekends and some other nights. Cafe Cicero (also downtown Napa) has an eclectic line up of things. And ';Jammin and Jessel%26#39;s'; is an improv sit in for musicians and those that like that vibe.
Part of the problem living an hour from a city like San Francisco is that we just drive into the city, since it%26#39;s so close and the clubs are amazing!
Here are a few of the spots where we find our SF info:

There are more-- but this should give you a start.
Hope this helps! :)

Oops!
Sorry about that. Since your profile just lists ';California';, we didn%26#39;t realize you live in SF.
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, come to Napa and find a nice place to stay with a big fluffy featherbed, a flickering fire, and nothing else to do. Cozy up wth your sweetie and share a bottle of wine you%26#39;ve selected from your touring/tasting that afternoon.
It%26#39;s not salsa dancing. But it%26#39;s definitely Napa. :)
