please help....

Hi All,

Just went through all the hotel reviews for San Fransisco,and what I have basically gathered is that there are barely any rooms available for under $100 in SF, without being in an undesirable area or in bad condition. I am not fussy, and would just like something basic, clean and safe. Can any one recommend any hotels I should look into further?? I know that this is what the hotel review section is for, however Im hoping for some local opinion.

Travelling here for 4 days in September, for tourist purposes.

I don%26#39;t know about anyone else, but I would happily stay at following hotels for under $100:

The Grant Plaza

The Baldwin

Stratford

Fusion

Powell

The Grant

Union Square Plaza

If I were paying much over $100, I would not be so happy. But for the price, I think you are getting what you are paying for.

I agree with all of Wes%26#39; choices other than the Grant Plaza. Even for the price, that one gets terrible reviews consistantly.

Another in that price range would be the Hotel Des Arts.

Ditto on Saks. All but the Grant Plaza.

Maybe you%26#39;re looking at the first weekend of Sept when it%26#39;s a monday holiday and rates are higher?
