San Diego to The Grand Canyon

How is this trip driving? Are there any must see%26#39;s on the way? We have never been to either area.

Also, what are some of the highlights of San Diego and the surrounding area?

Any travel tips would be appreciated!

When are you coming? How long are you staying? Who is in your group(ages,kiddies etc)?What are you r main interests?-scenery,hiking,history,culture,theme parks,beach/water activities etc?

Not sure of anything yet, just researching. Probably would plan to come in the Spring, no kids.

The drive from San Diego to the Grand Canyon will likely take you 8-10 hours, depending on traffic. We went to the South Rim on a day trip while on vacation in Sedona, and it was a little under 2 hours each way to drive there. Definitely check out the forums for Phoenix, Sedona and the Grand Canyon for more info in those areas.

There%26#39;s a lot to see and do in San Diego, it really depends on your interests and how much time you have. If you can provide a little bit more guidance about your likes/dislikes, you%26#39;ll probably get a wealth of suggestions!
