Best Waterpark within driving distance

Hi myself and my other half have a about 4 days in La this June. We have previously been to orlando and LOVED loved loved Blizzard Beach. Can anyoe recommend a water park within driving distance of Santa Monica? Knotts Berry, Magic Mountain, the one in pasadena whose name excapes me? Which would be the best one to spend a day at?

Best Waterpark within driving distance

Magic Mtn is a LONG drive from anywhere in LA. Probably a 2 hour drive north of Santa Monica.

There%26#39;s Soak City at Knotts in Buena Park...that%26#39;s an hour away.

And then you have Raging Waters in San Dimas at 90 min.

Here%26#39;s a link:

Hurricane Harbor is not a 2 hour drive from Santa Monica. I used to live in Venice and made it there easy in an hour (405 fwy to the 5 fwy, exit Magic Mountain )

Raging Water is the biggest waterpark in the area, Knotts the smalest. Hurricane Harbor(Magic Mountains waterpark) is a nice sized park, clean and not to packed most of the time. I am sure you will have a nice time

Santa Monica to Magic Mountain: 35 miles (56 km)

Santa Monica to Soak City: 38 miles (61 km)

Santa Monica to Raging Waters: 42 miles (67 km)

Make the drive to the park between 9:00 and 13:00 Mon-Fri (or any time on the weekend). Try to avoid returning between 15:00 and 19:00, Mon-Fri (when traffic is the heaviest).

Thanks for the info about the drive times.

Which park in your opinion would be the best for thrill rides?

My vote is for Raging Waters. It has the most rides and I would consider many of their rides thrilling. It is a clean park set against the hills. Very nice.

A second for raging waters.
