I%26#39;m visiting San Francisco in the summer, we are staying at the Chancellor Hotel on Powell street.
What%26#39;s the best form of transport from the airport to get here, there is just myself and the wife.
Any information would be much appreciated.

BART-Bay Area Rapid Transit is your best option unless you have loads of luggage. Get on at the international terminal and head to Powell Street. The chancellor is 4 blocks up the road on your left. Fare is $5.15 per person.
If you have a lot of luggage, take a taxi to avoid too much schlepping. Taxi fare about 40-45 bucks.

Thanks for the advice, there are two of us and probably only have one big bag each.
So it might be easier and cheaper to take the BART you think?
If your bags are on wheels, it%26#39;s the way to go. I%26#39;ve done all the ways-limo, cab, shuttle, and BART and the BART is by far the easiest and the cheapest, especially from the international terminal. Your hotel is 4 short blocks from the station. you should be fine. it%26#39;s as easy or easier than the tube to central London from Heathrow. Takes just over 30 minutes, twice the time of the Heathrow Express, but half the time as the Picadilly line...
Thanks again, think it will be the BART we%26#39;ll take as the luggage is on wheels plus done the Heathrow to Central London several times and find that ok.
Can I add a question about access to the Grand Hyatt from the BART station. We will have a suitcase on wheels each. Had thought about a taxi but BART seems much cheaper.
To Annekr in Aberdeen:
Same advice to you as well. The Grand Hyatt is just a few blocks up Stockton Street. Take BART tot he Powell street station and head to the Stockton street exit and up. Then you can spend your money on food and drink.
Although drummerliz is absolutely correct about the ease with which BART can be used, one caution to both DavB93 and annekr is that unless your luggage is sized to be handled with great ease, care needs to be taken during the core commute hours, say 7-9 AM and 4:30-6:30 PM. BART was designed primarily as a people moving system with airport transportation and luggage handling being an add-on. Blocking train doors or aisleways with luggage too big to fit in your laps (there%26#39;s wide areas at the door entrances priority for which goes to handicapped passengers), taking up extra seats, or creating a jam in escalators and fare gates are all ways to create animosity with your fellow riders and expose you to some of the less happy side of San Francisco.
