Hot springs

Three of us females will be driving out to PS for a Friday/Saturday day trip. We would like to visit a hot springs / hot springs spa.

Any recommendations??

check out Desert Hot Springs, it located about 10 minutes north of Palm Springs and is a host to many natural hot spring spas...I stayed at the Spring this past September and it is very relaxing.

In downtown Palm Springs the spa resort casion has a very nice spa an dhot spirngs area . It is separate from the actual casino(separate building) and they have a nice ';taking the waters';package. Youc an stay anywhere downtown and then pay for the package . In Desert Hot springs you can also go for the day .

I think I need to clarify.

We%26#39;re looking ideally for a hot spring where we can go into its natural environment instead of a resort building environment. I%26#39;ve heard great things about The Spa (and casino) in downtown, but I guess I was looking for more of a hot spring where we are actually in the spring itself, in nature. Maybe this doesn%26#39;t exist?

The natural hot springs here have been commercialized so you will not find an outdoor spring in the middle of the desert to just go in.

There are non-commercial hot springs in California however almost all are isolated and you have to hike to them.

One of the better known one in the Mohave desert is Tecopa Hot Springs which is about a 2 hour drive from Palm Springs.
