Palm Springs Feb 13-20 Where do stay to avoid wind?

Hi,

I am coming to PS/PD with my husband and 3 kids. I%26#39;d love to have a big, fun pool. right now we have a condo avail to us at the Oasis Resort. I want to be sure and not stay where it is windy. Any ideas?

Also, I really like to walk to dinner. Any placed near downtown PS or in Palm Desert that are good for families and easy to walk to and from with out renting a car?

Oasis Resort wont be windy, unless we are having horribly windy weather. The wind is usually in the North end and clsoer to the freeway ( I-10 ) But there%26#39;s not much to walk to from there.

Are you otherwise asking about a hotel or another condo?

Palm Mountain Resort ( hotel ) is family-style, and downtown Palm Springs, you can walk almost anywhere. It%26#39;s not 4 star but it has a nice pool for kids and it%26#39;s not a boutique hotel, like most of the others in that area.

Thanks for the info on the resort. I am looking for a place within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of downtown Palm Springs. I don%26#39;t want to rent a car.

Any other ideas for a place with a nice pool for kids?

Not really, besides the Palm Mountain, Wyndham or the Spa Hotel. Palm Springs isn%26#39;t really geared towards kids and families as far as lodging, and it%26#39;s in the 60%26#39;s right now and windy so they may end up spending less time in the pool that you%26#39;re planning.
