Restaurant for party of 12 on Tuesday night?

Help!

My client (from Canada), has just asked me to book a restaurant for a party of 12 this coming Tuesday in Santa Monica!

I live in London! I have no idea! They have no preference as to cuisine, but they would like good food but not ';too formal'; .

Can anyone recommend anywhere? I%26#39;ve been to Whist before and liked it there, but am guessing it might be too late to make a reservation for 12! Any other suggestions?

It wouldn%26#39;t be too late to book for 12 at Whist. This time of year, you can get in just about anywhere - but, Whist is expensive, if that%26#39;s okay. Not formal, but expensive.

There%26#39;s Wilshire, Chaya (the best choice, probably), Lilly%26#39;s -- phone numbers at www.la.com or go to opentable.com to reserve.
