transportation & San Pedro

We plan to rent a car in San Diego and return it in San Pedro before cruising. Other than Enterprise which does not do one way rentals, there does not seem to be any car rental agencies in San Pedro. Has anyone ever returned a car to this area - and if so how did they get to their san Pedro hotel.

We are in the same situation. We will be arriving at LAX and are searching for ideas to get to San Pedro etc. I know there is a super shuttle available - I believe it is about $24 per person to San Pedro.

Taxi is about double that I am told. We are cruising in March (3rd) and will be in LAX on Feb. 28th so we are searching for hotels in either location. Any help from you or anyone would be appreciated. When are you cruising? Let me know what you found or decide.

HI guys, I just used www.kayak.com which compares car rental pirces. I told it I wanted to get car in SAN and drop it off inSanPedro and they had several suggestions. Most of them involved dropping the car at the LGB(LOngBeach airport). that seems to be the way to go to drop it off at an airport and then take a cab or shuttle from there to the port. You could also see which car rental company comes up on Kayak and then call them to see if they have an offic ecloser to the port.

Both of these locations are much closer to San Pedro than Long Beach Airport. Of course, you have to determine the cost of a one way drop off to these locations and compare it with the cost at Long Beach Airport and any taxi cost savings.

Exploring the same problem - - transportation from LAX to San Pedro for a March 6 cruise. Find that Enterprise does have a one way rental setup with a San Pero drop-off at 2337 N. Harbor (blvd?) in San Pedro. You can contact Enterprise at (866(207-8836. Iwas quoted a 1 day rental price of $53.99 from LAX to San Pedro which included a $25 drop off fee. Good luck.

Ditto PHNTM: Enterprise is across the street from the pier with a convenient shuttle. Just did that last week.

Three times we%26#39;ve just ';bitten the bullet'; and caught a cab outta LAX - about $54.00 including generous tip. No hassel - you ARE on vacation. Will be doing the same thing in April.
