we plan to go 6.2. to 6.8 and staying at Courtyard by Marriot near Fishermans wharf . Plan to see city tour Alatraz combo, Muir woods and Sausalito..maybe Monterey and Carmel and the bus trip to Yosemite seems too long 12 hours tour.....which rooms are quiet there if any there? I will be in bed by 9 p.m. 10 your time the latest and up at 2 or 3 a.m. your time... I never adjust when i fly West. I hope i can get food then somewhere? any all night places walking distance there? We will have no car is that ok? And, we will take a shuttle from airport to hotel...Am I missing something great to see? Any tours that i missed? Thanks for any info in advance..is it cheaper for a package deal thru expedia or to call hotel directly?
any insight???
1. Tours sound fine. Yosemite is a long day tour and many pros and cons, so it%26#39;s best to skip if jet lag bothers you.
2. I have no idea what your question about rooms is asking. If you%26#39;re referring to the Courtyard by Marriott perhaps another traveler who has stayed there will see this and reply.
3. Food. Yes, we have it. And we have it late, though I%26#39;m not aware of any all night places. Maybe the Denny%26#39;s Restaurant inside the Holiday Inn Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf.
4. Packages can be cheaper. It always makes sense to shop around, however.
any insight???

Yes. The TOURING SAN FRANCISCO site http://geocities.com/touringsfo/ has links to the best on-line walking and bicycling (showing our streets%26#39; grades), and transportation MAPS of San Francisco There%26#39;s also a link that will tell you HOW TO GET THERE FROM HERE, maps of our CABLE CAR ROUTES, our 49-mile SCENIC DRIVE, and a superb map of GOLDEN GATE PARK.

The ';Don%26#39;t-miss SIGHTS in San Francisco'; page geocities.com/touringsfo/Articles/Sights.html has enough to keep you busy for nine 12.7-hour days. It includes links to your best sources of advice on WHERE TO EAT and, according to the Department of Health, WHERE TO NOT EAT here, the UseNet Group ba.food, and the quite-good sfSurvey and the comprehensive Yelp. It also has a WEATHER CHART with a link to current conditions.
