Internet cafe around Fishermans Wharf for Southwest checkin

Hi

could somebody advise if there is an internet cafe around the Fishermans Wharf area. We will not be travelling with a laptop so will need to access to a computer.

Need to check-in for flight on SW airlines and although our hotel has internet access, we won%26#39;t be near our hotel around the 24 hrs prior to travel time.

I%26#39;m just about to book online with SouthWest airlines (today) and don%26#39;t want to proceed with the booking if I%26#39;m going to find it hard to access a internet cafe with computer 24 hrs prior to flight.

I know there are alot of hotels in the Wharf area, however they may not be too fussed on letting us use their computer if we are not staying at their hotel. Does anybody have any thoughts on whether another hotel would let us use their computer in lobby for airline checkin. ??? I%26#39;d be happy to pay a small fee for the priviledge.

I also found internet cafe named Quetzal (via google) their address is 1234 Polk Street, however I don%26#39;t know if they are anywhere near Fishermans Wharf / Alcatraz ferry terminal.

Looking forward to any information offered.

Thanks

any KinkoFedEx printing shop will have internet access by credit card. If you pay cash, ask the clerk.

If you check in on a Southwest flight 24-12 hours before the flight, you probably will be in the A or B group and will be fine. Also, any hotel that is in tune with the guests%26#39; needs these days has a computer available to use. Many do. Some are free and some charge. If they charge, you should be welcome to use it whether you are a guest or not. Last time I was in the Argonaut, they had a computer in the lobby for guests to use for free. You can always check in online anywhere and print the passes at the airport. This way you can use any computer whether there is a printer or not..

You could even as the hotel desk to do it for you. Again, they don%26#39;t have to be printed at that time. You can just get checked in and be done with it. Good luck.

Yes, I want to reinforce what Wes has advised from personal experience. If you check in and are in group A or B, you will stay in that group whether you print out your boarding pass then or elater when arriving at the airport in the SWA kiosk. We had a problem with the printer where we stayed in Vegas and finally gave up trying to print and figured we%26#39;d end up in the last group. At the airport the next morning , we were still in the A boarding group and just had tp print out. Sometimes it is easier to find an Internet location with computers without printers- or once we even asked a guy next to us in Starbucks to check us in on his laptop!

Thanks for replies,

I already understand the checkin procedure for SW airlines, I now just need info on where in Fishermans Wharf area I can access a computer with internet access.

Has anybody has past experience using a computer in the hotel lobby in the Fisherman Wharf area (free or charged) when THEY ARE NOT guests of the hotel.

thanks

Yes, I walked into the Argonaut Hotel and the computer was sitting there. I surfed the net for a few minutes and checked my email. No body else was waiting to use it and I didn%26#39;t look like a street person. No problem.

Many of the hotels have the little pay business centers as well with the internet computers. They are usually off the public areas of the lobbies and anyone has access.

Also the internet cafe in Pier 39 2nd floor.

Does anybody know the name of the internet cafe at Pier 39 (as per Aleka2%26#39;s post) advising me that there is one on the second floor.

I%26#39;ve emailed admin at Pier 39 asking the name of the cafe, however I have not had a reply as yet.

If the internet cafe does not exist, I have read that all branch libraries have internet access - IS THIS CORRECT ??? , as there is a library at North Beach (fairly close to FW)

thanks

Use a Kinko%26#39;s FedEx store which has internet access using your credit card. I have used it before with no problem. There is one at Sacramento St and Davis or Clay and Van Ness Ave. You can print for 49 cents a page and access internet for less than $5 per 30 minutes or something like that.
