I intend visiting Universal Studios on 18th March with 2 children (9 and 6). Would it be busy and what would the waiting times be like for the rides and tram. Would a Monday visit be better.
Thanks,
A first time visitor from Ireland
Universal Studios on a Sunday in March - busy?
Weekends are definitely the busiest for Universal but Saturdays tend to be a little busier than Sundays. You%26#39;ll want to be there early so you have the whole day.
We were there on a Sunday just before Christmas and didn%26#39;t find the waits to be too bad at all. I think the longest wait we had was about 20 minutes. We went back for a second day a few days later, but the second day really wasn%26#39;t necessary. We were able to do everything the first day.
The tram line ups may look formidable when you arrive, but they can put so many people onto a tram that the lines really move quickly. I think we waited about 5 minutes the first time and 15 minutes the second time. Do ensure that you take the children to the washroom before you get into the tram line-up, since the tram tour is about 45 minutes long and there is no stopping once you%26#39;re on the tram. There is a washroom near the entrance to the tram area.
One other word of advice. At the Water World show.... unless you want to be completely, totally soaking wet, sit in the seating areas that are marked as being ';dry';. You may still get a few minor splashes in the dry seating but the people in the ';wet'; seating were drenched, often on purpose by the actors.
