Any suggestions for good Sushi place? We will be staying near Union Square, but willing to take public transport to good restaurant.
Thanks

COUNTRY STATION SUSHI CAF脡
is at 2140 Mission Street (UNderhill 1-0972) at Sycamore (an alley with spectacular murals) has changed since our last visit and there were more patrons when we arrived than I%26#39;ve ever seen there.
A punctured young man greeted us with a warm smile and gesture of welcome.
We were served by a woman who could be the mother of all except the main chef who was not wearing a cowboy hat (perhaps his wife). She was an amusing delight of brightness, humor, body movement, and information in her limited English (she also speaks some Spanish).
We didn%26#39;t notice whether our greeting was as elaborate as the subsequent ones so we don%26#39;t know whether everyone is greeted with a welcoming shout from every employee or whether they%26#39;re returnees. I think that everyone who arrived after we was so greeted. She regarded the personnel as ';very colorful'; with their headwraps. Delightful!
The soybeans that promptly arrived (well, after the tea) at the table were delicious. The miso was so-so.
We had a sushi combination and a vegetarian combination. Each was excellent.
She required a fork that necessitated a hunt and, when found, a washing. The frequent enquiries into our satisfaction and status were not at all unwelcome nor intrusive.
There was a record of Japanese rock music playing. Pretty good music and singing but it was a bit loud, as was the ambiance, but not so much so that we found it annoying.
After dinner selections, available on the sidewalk, included marijuana, heroin, and cocaine.
We were thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of our visit, including the net tab of $37, and shall certainly return.
If you want a change from the Viet-Namese place that cannot be named, you can%26#39;t go wrong with Country Station Sushi Caf茅!
