Hi,
I am visiting SFO the next weekend and looking for cool places and neighbourhood to hang out. I am from Chicago and interested in visting local bars/dancing and not too much into the touristy places. Ofcourse, I will be visiting the golden gate bridge. Does anyone have good recommendations? I am open to explore and walk around. Oh also, good places to eat (average $20)?
Thanks,
Javid
Visiting SFO for a weekend
A weekend in SFO would be quite boring! ; ) Just so you%26#39;re aware, SFO is the airport and we don%26#39;t refer to the City of San Francisco as such.
Do you have a hotel already? If not, are you looking for recommendations for that as well?
For neighborhoods, check out the following link. It gives suggestions in various neighborhods and gives short descriptions about each. You don%26#39;t have to take all of them, but I feel it is a good starting point to at least get some ideas.

What types of music do you like? What types of clubs?
Any preferences on cuisine or are just just open to anything?

Thanks. I am going to be staying in San Jose witha friend of mine. But, he%26#39;s new to San Jose too. I like thai, meditarranean and to an extent chinese. Music, just dance music, looking for bars with dance floors. not looking for a nightclub or heavy trance music.
