Nitt Witt Ridge adn drive time from Monterey

Hi

I would love to visit this place but is it possible to just show up on the day and take a tour - I heard from someone you can only take the tour if you reserve tickets in advance - but ill be arriving from monterey, Im not sure how long the drive down highway 1 will take and i dont want to have to rush it! Id prefer just to get tickets when/if we get there on time!

So, how long roughly is the scenic drive from Monterey to Cambria?

Can you go on the nitt witt ridge tour if you show up without reservations?

You have to have a reservation for a tour. It%26#39;s like setting up a doctor%26#39;s appointment. The tour is given at the time set up by you with the owner of the property. Here%26#39;s a phone number you can call to make your reservation: (805) 927- 2690.

Give yourself at least 3 hours for the drive down Highway 1 from Monterey to Cambria. That%26#39;s plenty of time to take the drive slow and even make a few brief stops on the way down.

If you make Cambria by lunch time, I recommend Robin%26#39;s restaurant. They serve a variety of ethnic dishes including asian, italian, mexican and american. The food is very fresh and the atmosphere quaint.

If you want something less formal, try the Main St Grill.

After your tour, enjoy a sunset walk on the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach Dr. Beautiful!

I just discovered in the Monterey forum that you%26#39;re staying at the Green Gables Inn. We were just there last week! It%26#39;s our favorite place on the Monterey Peninsula. You may have trouble leaving in the morning for Cambria! The place is sooo relaxing, you may not want to leave.

Yeah i saw the pictures of the views from GG inn and did wonder if we would be able to make an early start the next morning!! thanks for all your help, look forward to trying some of those eateries!

I%26#39;ll second the suggestion for Robin%26#39;s, we like to out on the patio under the wiseria vines. If you want a gorgeous oceanview while you dine, the Moonstone Beach Bar %26amp; Grill is very good. They have a nice size outdoor patio, we like to sit at ';the rail'; while we eat. Great fish tacos and desserts here. Enjoy your trip! :)

syrahgirl mentioned fish!!!! ilovecheese has a problem with fish, as mentioned in the Monterey forum. ilovecheese... think of puppies or kitties when you go to sleep tonight. ;-)

ok, now i am really curious!!! WHAT IS Nitt Witt Ridge???? We are going to be travelling from Monterey to Cambria the end of this month and this is one attraction I have not yet heard of ?? Thanks!
