My husband and I are going to Anaheim in March 2007 (for work) and we%26#39;d like to add 2 or 3 days in a warm spot in California. I see that San Diego is only about 19/20 degrees celcious.
Are there any mini-cruises, or places with above 26 degrees celcious type temparatures (i.e. hot enough so you could lay on a beach and get a tan) that Californians usually go to?
Warmest spot in California
March can have variable weather.
However,
It also depends upon the locale you come from as you might find the weather feeling quite warm, while locals find it feeling cool.
A 3 day cruise to Mexico is possible out of Long Beach to take you to warmer weather and lounge around on the cruise ship.
It will take you from Long Beach (Queen Mary/Aquarium). to Catalina Island (about an hour from Long Beach) down to Ensenada which will be the warmest place on the trip.
Several do the cruise...such as Carnival cruises.

Another great place to go in the winter is out to Palm Springs/Indio area as the days are quite warm (nice to lay outside and get a tan) and a beutiful time to visit the desert.

Three day cruises usually just go to Catalina and Enseneda. These won%26#39;t be that warm in March.
Palm Springs is your best bet. There are no beaches there but you can lie around by the pool and get a tan there. The average high is 80F (26C) and the average low is 53F (11C) in March.
