We are thinking of going to San Francisco this summer. We have two older sons. Would we need to rent a car to get around? Would there be enough to do in San Francisco to keep us busy for a week?

Don%26#39;t rent a car. SF has excellent public transportation and very expensive parking. Only rent a car for a day if you want a day trip to the wine country, for example.

Yes, you can easily keep busy for a week, but you will need to do some research to pick the things which interest you the most.
